These Bills would erode local control of Boards of Education to establish curriculum for health education for our students and would codify Health Standards that are not in alignment with National CDC Health standards. This is an over-reach by the State and pushes unwanted gender ideologies into public school systems under the guise of health education. This is also opposed by the Maryland Association of Boards of Education.
We ask folks to contact members of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Education, Energy and Environment Committees to express their opposition to these Bills. Further, contact people you know living in the districts of these elected officials and have them reach out as well.

Two Democrat Maryland Senators have introduced this Bill that would dramatically erode 2nd Amendment rights of Maryland citizens. In June 2022, the US Supreme Court ruled that the RIGHTS of citizens to keep and bear arms extends beyond the home and that the Government does not have the authority to infringe on those rights with burdensome licensing and carry laws. As an end-around to the Supreme Court ruling, the State of Maryland is looking to criminalize citizens’ rights to keep and bear arms by making it a crime to carry/transport firearms within 100 feet of hotels, restaurants, stores etc. Citizens’ First Amendment rights have no such constraints. We are not disallowed from free speech if we get within 100 feet of a store. This Bill is clearly an unconstitutional attack on Marylander’s 2nd Amendment rights.
We ask folks to contact members of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee to express their opposition to this Bill. Further, contact people you know living in the districts of these elected officials and have them reach out as well.

This Bill would allow minors to receive medical procedures in the form of vaccines WITHOUT the consent or knowledge of parents. If passed, this law would dramatically reduce parental rights. In addition, minors may not be fully aware of the risks associated with all vaccines and they may not be aware of any prior adverse events that they experienced when very young as additional vaccination could prove harmful and even deadly. This does not create a safe environment for children. The State locking out Parents from their child’s medical records also creates a dangerous precedent.
We ask folks to contact members of Senate Finance Committee to express their opposition to this Bill. Further, contact people you know living in the districts of these elected officials and have them reach out as well. Please note that Carroll County Senator Justin Ready is on the Senate Finance Committee and does NOT support this legislation.
